A bound-in insert works really well as a magazine advert as the reader will find your page almost instantly every time the magazine is opened. Even a quick flick-through stops at the bound-in insert. The reason for this is that the bound-in insert is always thicker and stiffer than the regular magazine pages. You will need to speak to your chosen magazine to get exact specifications for your pop-up bound-in insert as the publication’s production manager will need to feel sure that it will work. You should expect the magazine to ask for samples.
We suggest that you use an A5 size in landscape aspect which would open from bottom to top to reveal a 210 x 300mm spread with a 140mm high stand-up piece. The card will usually be made in 350gsm silk artboard which will be printed in 4 colour process on both sides.
