Parking Discs and Disc Parking Schemes

We produce millions of parking discs each year for local authorities. The most common design for a parking disc is the one specified by the British Standards Institute for use by Local Governments that run a disc parking scheme. This has a cover size 125 x 125mm. We also produce a 2-disc alternative parking disc for those authorities who run a slightly different disc parking scheme. A smaller version of the parking discs is favoured in Europe. However, we can make parking discs to custom sizes for promotional use. Because of their slightly different design nature we have featured car parking permits and parking clocks on a separate page.

Local Authority Disc Parking - Advertising is Allowed on the Parking Disc

The BSI guidelines for parking discs used in local authority disc parking schemes does allow for advertising to be printed on the disc. This presents an opportunity for the local authority to spread some of the cost of the parking discs by offering the space to local advertisers or even to advertise council run services such as sport and leisure facilities. As every motorist within the authority boundaries will have a parking disc in his or her car, this is a marketing opportunity that should not be missed. The BSI guidelines also suggest that the name of the printer ought to feature on the discs.
