Rubber bands do not retain their full elasticity if stored at full stretch. The rubber band in this product is at full stretch when the product is stored flat. We advise that you plan to distribute the product within days of its manufacture in order to get the most effective pop-up. We can make the product with all of the pen holes on one side which is how it works best but we have experimented with having two holes on two sides and that creates a totally different visual effect. However, this design is not as practical as the pens bump into each other when you slide them into the holes so we suggest that you go with all holes on one side.
