Slide Charts and Sliding Calculators for Business

Slide charts are used as a convenient and interactive way to pass on information from a supplier to a customer. We have made countless examples. In many instances the information will be of a technical nature. To give an easy example: a slide chart that matches car models to tyre pressures for might be produced for a tyre manufacturer to pass to a tyre dealership. Another typical slide chart would be to calculate mortgage repayments or maybe to forecast pension payments. These types of sliding calculators tend to be fairly business-like affairs without much scope for flair in their design. They are usually 1/3 A4 in size and consist of a sliding card held within a sleeve that has windows on one face. If you feel that you cannot get all of your info onto a slide chart they can be made into a 4-page product or you might want to look at making a wheel chart.

Branded Slide Charts with a little more fun

These things don’t have to be dull though certain clients have a little more freedom when it comes to designing their slide charts. Let’s say that a slide chart had been commissioned by a brand of low-fat chocolate aimed at a weight-loss audience. The calculator could show how much fat and calories were contained in rival bars but the sleeve design could be very much in the style of fashion magazines. To emphasize a slogan – let’s say it was “A bite on the light side” – a die-cut “bite” could be missing from one corner of the sliding calculator giving the product a much higher value as a branding and marketing tool.
