Magazine Inserts Mounted on the page – Tip-ons

A tip-on is an advertising piece affixed to a page in a magazine. If you are planning to use a tip-on, you would ordinarily design the page of advertising in such a way that the tip-on was the centre of attention. Of course, the first thing that the reader will do is to remove the tip-on so the ad must still make sense after the tip-on has been removed.

Picture Dissolves as Tip-on Magazine adverts

The weight and bulk of a tip on will often decide whether or not the magazine can include your suggested tip-on and that is partly why we recommend our A6 dissolving picture product. It is a good size to get noticed on the page without being too big, it is slim and it is lightweight. Most of all, it is a fascinating interactive product which will keep the reader involved with your marketing message long after it has been removed from the page.

Specifications for advertising products that affix to the page – Check with the Mag!

It is vitally important that you check with your magazine of choice to ensure that the A6 dissolving picture product is compatible with their production methods. The magazine’s production manager may well ask for samples to make sure that everything is OK. We will help with this if at all possible.

The standard specifications for an A6 picture dissolver are that the product is printed on 350gsm silk artboard in 4 colour process.
